The Back 2 School Giveaway is a program of the ICNA or Islamic Circle of North America. It is a nationwide campaign that provides children’s backpacks filled with school supplies. Their main goal is to help kids without making any discrimination with their religion, nationality, race and gender. You may want to do further research about this campaign to know if they will visit your State. What’s more about it is that you don’t have to pay for any registration fee just to qualify.
Operation home front
Programs and organizations that support military families are also exerting efforts to provide school supplies to many children. To qualify, one of the child’s parents should be an active service duty member and should live in either Kentucky or Tennessee. The child should also be in ranks E1 – E6. In partnership with such programs, Red Cross Organization also hosts school supply giveaway events.
There are also certain cities that conduct their own programs to help children continue their education. Aside from the scholarship, they also provide pens, papers, pencils, notebooks and other typical school supplies. All these are packed in a school bag which is given away for free.
