Common prizes are the latest gadgets, an all-expense paid holiday trip, and all those tempting things that get too difficult to disregard. As much as you want to win it, these prizes are just too good to be true. That is why it’s highly recommended to avoid transacting with these websites because most likely it’s just a scam.

Always focus

Another Phishing modus would be to send pop-up warnings. It may say “strongly suspicious files have been found on your computer! Click here to download a security fix!”. Most messages are filled with exclamation points, which increases your normal panic mode into severe.

In such cases, it’s highly advisable to focus and stay composed. Do not download anything or click on any hyperlinks, unless you want your computer to be eaten by viruses.

Keep your security software updated

Having a security system on your PC may not be enough. It is highly recommended keeping it updated all the time.
